Notice to Mariners No 26 of 2019

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – SPENCER GULF – FAIRWAY BANK – INSTALLATION OF MEASURING INSTRUMENTS

Mariners are advised that instruments measuring currents, temperature, salinity and the presence of tagged fish have been installed near Fairway Bank south of Port Bonython in position 33° 06’ 39.0” S, 137° 42’ 31.1” E.

The instruments are located on the seabed in approximately 17m of water and are approximately 1.5m high and 1.5m in diameter.

The instruments will be deployed for approximately 5 years.

Mariners should avoid anchoring or net trawling in this area.
