Notice to Mariners No. 8 of 2024 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – PORT ADELAIDE – BACKSTAIRS PASSAGE – HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYING

Mariners are advised that a vessel ‘MV Outer Limit’ will be undertaking hydrographic surveying activities in the approaches to Port Adelaide and Backstairs Passage from 8 February 2024 – 18 February 2024.

Surveying will include the vessel towing sonar up to 200 m astern at 10 – 20 meters above the seabed. The vessel will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre mariners are advised to be aware of vessel operating in these areas.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution.
