Notice to Mariners No 3 of 2018
Monday, 22 January 2018
Due to significant seasonal sand movement at Cape Jaffa, the water depths at the entrance channel to the Cape Jaffa Anchorage Marina have reduced. There is low water between the western breakwater starboard channel marker and the opposite port channel marker, and “Shallow Water” buoys have been placed.
Dredging will commence in the next few months to rectify the problem.
In the meantime mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution when navigating in the area.
