Notice to Mariners No. 86 of 2026 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – GULF ST VINCENT – PORT ADELAIDE– OUTER HARBOR –BERTH 6 EXTENSION

Mariners are advised that marine piling operations will be undertaken adjacent to the Outer Harbor Berth 6 Extension from 5 November 2026 to 25 November 2026

During the works, the construction barges will be positioned adjacent to the Berth 6 Extension, with temporary anchors, mooring lines and associated ground tackle extending into the Port Adelaide shipping channel.

Anchoring arrangements will be coordinated with Port Adelaide Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) to maintain safe navigation during commercial shipping movements. Anchors and mooring lines within the shipping channel will be adjusted, slackened or removed as required by VTS prior to vessel movements.

The approximate extent of the marine piling operations and associated anchoring arrangements is shown in the accompanying location diagram.

All construction vessels will maintain communications with Port Adelaide VTS on VHF Channel 12 and monitor VHF Channel 16.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution in the vicinity of the works, maintain a safe distance from working vessels and comply with directions issued by an Authorised Person or Port Management Officer.
