Notice to Mariners No. 71 of 2026 (Temporary)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – GULF ST VINCENT – PORT ADELAIDE – GROUNDED SAILING VESSEL – SPECIAL MARKER BUOY

Mariners are advised that a yellow special marker buoy was deployed adjacent to the Port Adelaide Shipping Channel on 18 September 2026 to mark the location of a grounded sailing vessel.

The buoy is yellow, conical in shape, 1 m high and fitted with a yellow flashing light Fl Y 4s.

Buoy Location:

34° 48' 40" S – 138° 30' 46" E

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the grounded vessel and special marker buoy.

The marker buoy is temporary and will be removed in due course following removal of the grounded vessel.
