Notice to Mariners No. 45 of 2026 (Temporary)
SOUTH AUSTRALIA – ST VINCENT GULF – PORT ADELAIDE RIVER - DREDGING OPERATIONS
Mariners are advised that dredging operations will be carried out within the Osborne # 4 wharf, including maintenance dredging on the approach, berth pocket, wharf and underneath the ship lift.
Dredging operations are scheduled from 15 June 2026, for 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday 07:00 to 19:00 and are expected to by October 2026.
The dredge will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 12, 14 and 16.
As part of this works, a submerged pipeline of length 1.8 km will also be laid outside the navigable channel which will be marked by one (1) yellow buoy every 500m for the length of the pipe with a White light (Fl W 3s, Range 1-2 nautical miles)
Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating near this in this area
