Notice to Mariners No. 27 of 2026 (Temp)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – PENNESHAW HARBOR - DREDGING OPERATIONS

Mariners are advised that dredging operations within the Penneshaw harbor, primarily within the ferry terminal and the approach to the boat ramp have commenced.

Dredging operations are scheduled for 7 days a week and be completed by end of April 2026.

The dredge will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 14 and 01.

The discharge pipeline trails up to 700m from the dredge which will normally rests on the seabed; however, it may be floated at certain times to facilitate dredge movements. In these times a SECURITE warning will be issued on VHF channel 16.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating in this area.
