SOUTH AUSTRALIA –SOUTH EAST CAPE JAFFA– RESEARCH BUOYS DEPLOYED
Mariners are advised that research buoys have been deployed approximately 61NM West of Cape Jaffa in approximate positions
Buoy 1: 36°58’00”S 138°24’00”E
Buoy 2: 36°58’00”S 138°20’14.62”E
Buoy 3: 36°55’00”S 138°24’00”E
Buoy 4: 36°58’00”S 138°27’45.38”E
Buoy 5: 37°01’00”S 138°24’00”E
Buoy 6: 36°57’00”S 138°17’44.36”E
The buoys are yellow and 700mm in diameter, spherical shape and each buoy holds a single radar reflector.
A yellow flashing light Fl Y 2.5s, range 1 nautical mile is fitted on buoy 1 & 4 and a yellow flashing light Fl Y 2.5s, range 2 nautical mile is fitted on buoy 2 & 3
These buoys will be deployed for approximately 2-3 weeks.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in these areas
