HARBORS AND NAVIGATION ACT 1993

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – BOSTON BAY – PORT LINCOLN – RESEARCH EQUIPMENT DEPLOYED

Mariners are advised that research equipment has been deployed at three locations in the area of Boston Bay, Port Lincoln.

  1. -34° 44’ 17.1”S          135° 57’ 20.4”E
  2. -34° 46’ 54.7”S          135° 53’ 31.0”E
  3. -34° 43’ 03.4”S          135° 54’ 16.2”E

Location 3.    -34° 43’ 03.4”S          135° 54’ 16.2”E has 2 small 200mm white foam floats attached to a rope to the mooring. The other two locations have NO surface expression.

The research equipment will be deployed for approximately 1 year.

Mariners should avoid anchoring in this area.

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
