Notice to Mariners No. 51 of 2023

SOUTH AUSTRALIA – LOWER LAKES – MUNDOO CHANNEL – NEW BEACONS

Mariners are advised that a new lit port hand navigation beacon (No. 16) has been installed in the Mundoo Channel in position 35° 32’ 48.80” S 138° 53’ 29.02” E. The light characteristics of this beacon are as follows: Fl R 2s, range 2 nautical miles, R 180°-360° (180°) Obscured 0°-180° (180°).

In addition five new unlit starboard buoys have been installed in the following positions:

35° 32’ 50.60” S 138° 53’ 18.60” E
35° 32’ 48.24” S 138° 53’ 10.05” E
35° 32’ 44.53” S 138° 53’ 01.85” E
35° 32’ 39.76” S 138° 52’ 58.36” E
35° 32’ 35.71” S 138° 52’ 56.92” E

Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
