River Murray flood update: Waikerie ferry and Bookpurnong Road
The Waikerie ferry will be closed this Wednesday, 23 November, between 9am and 5pm, to safely transfer the ferry to the high flow ramp to allow services to continue as water levels rise.
Update on road and ferry closures as River Murray flows continue to increase
With River Murray water levels continuing to rise steadily, some road and ferry closures are expected within the next week. The Department is continuing to work to prepare for these closures, and to establish detours.

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport advises there will be a temporary closure of the Walker Flat Ferry on Thursday, 13 October between 9am and 3pm.
High flow caution for River Murray boaties, as Safe Boating Week starts
Boaties and holidaymakers are warned to take care on the water these school holidays as recent heavy rainfall events are causing increased flow into the River Murray.
